GeoTHERM 2022
Drillstar was present with a stand
The annual GeoTHERM exhibition at Offenburg took place again on the 2nd and 3rd of June this year, it was great to see the show so well attended after two years of absence. The show had been presented as a virtual exhibition in 2020 and 2021 because of the COVID restrictions.
The GEOTHERM event provided an excellent platform for the exchange of geothermal energy ideas between many of Europe’s Geothermal energy developers. There were 153 companies exhibiting with stands and 3500 visitors to the show over the two days.
Drillstar was represented with a stand, the Z-reamer under reamer and MudHammer tools displayed on the stand attracted much attention and discussion from attendees at GEOTHERM.
Drillstar is a partner in the ORCHYD project , a novel drilling technology combining ultra high powered drillbit hydraulic energy and percussion for ROP Improvement in deep geothermal drilling. Laurent Gerbaud , from ARMINES, presented his latest findings on drilling performances with Drillstar’s mud driven downhole hammer, assisted with ultra-high pressure water jetting using the ORCHYD bit design. This was well received by the attendees on the first afternoon of the show.
