Who we are
Drillstar Industries was founded in 1986 after a management buy-out of the Drillstar workshop opened in 1982. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of drilling solutions. As we speak the same language as our customers we can develop innovative solutions for them. In 2008, Drillstar Industries was integrated into “Artzainak”, a locally based holding company, strategically orientated towards technology development in South West France.
Manufacturing capability
Drillstar Industries is specialized in machining medium to large metal parts and has a total of 7 lathes and 2 milling machines in operation. Since the early days of the company, Drillstar Industries has successfully applied its core competences to other fields of activity which require comparable levels of quality, reactivity and competitiveness. Thanks to the high level of services provided, we maintain long-term sub-contracting partnerships in the aerospace and textile industries.
Quality and certifications
Drillstar Industries quality system is certified ISO 9001 We are also proud to be certified 7-1-0121 (Drill Stem Subs and Threading for Rotary Shouldered Connections) since 1994, and shortly after 5CT-0439 (Pipe Threader) and VAM for premium threads. Quality is paramount and we have all the equipment necessary to inspect the parts machined, including API and VAM gauges to check the threads cut in-house. In addition, Drillstar Technologies is certified EN9100 certification for the aerospace.
